About The Artist
Craving a new gift to cultivate and share, Christine began Christine June
Designs offering beautiful and meaningful designs not found anywhere else. Each unique piece is handmade using her own artisan lampwork glass beads.
Growing up in Vancouver BC with 10 brothers and sisters Christine
naturally developed a need to make new and exciting gifts for birthdays and celebrations. She began creating jewelry at an early age and worked for a jewelry designer in 2000 but it would be 7 years before she discovered glass, with its endless possibilities and its graceful allure. It
became the perfect medium that always challenged and allowed her the freedom to create new and ever changing pieces.
Working from her home in lush Pitt Meadows BC, Christine enjoys being in her studio, next to her rainbow
selection of Murano glass rods and dual-fueled torch with the kiln at 960 degrees and a good cup of coffee at her side.
In the beginning she created her simple yet dazzling designs using one shape, the heart but her love of the work led her to integrate many other beads she has come to love.
Christine’s work is available for sale on her website and at various shops and markets in the lower mainland.
